Letter Writing
Can you please check my writing?
The subject of the assignment is: " My writing". The main goal of it is, to sum up my experiences with writing. I would appreciate any help, it means a lot to me. Thank you in advance.
MY WRITING
Writing is important language skill, thanks to it we can express ourselves. It is also very significant in life- not only in school but also at work. What I like about a writing is the fact that before we write something down we have time to think about what we want to communicate. When we speak we do not have a lot of time to think, it is expected from us to answer straight away, often without hesitation. That is the reason why I think writing is so special.
As students, we have to face with a lot of homework which involves writing. Not always our assignments are good. I have never managed to get a positive note for interpretation of poems and even now I consider this as the most demanding writing assignment students write during Polish classes.
When it comes to writing in English, my biggest difficulty was an expression of my thoughts. Often it was caused by lack of necessary vocabulary. Sometimes I forget the most basic or common words and I cannot remind them myself. Also, when I was working in the UK I have experienced problems with my formal writing. I wish I had practiced more of it at school. But I know that I should not blame the school or my teachers for that because there is a lot of ways to improve writing.
I find that the best way to improve writing skills in English is reading more English books and magazines, watching English TV, increasing your vocabulary range. Also, we shall remember that we become better writers the more we write.
