Successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing what they already know how to do well.

When it comes to the topic of how to be successful, people tend to develop various viewpoints. Some would contend that undertaking unfamiliar activities and risk making mistakes can create a chance for people to become better, whereas other would hold that only doing what they are skilled at is beneficial. Personally, I find myself in the same place as the former opinion for the following reasons.

First and foremost, trying new things offers an opportunity for people to familiarize themselves with the novelty. When a person attempts new things, that individual will gain valuable experience and become more adept at various field, whereas staying in comfort zone can only help them grow only in one particular area. For instance, my cousin, who was academically outstanding, only focused on studying during her time at school. As a result, after graduating, she had difficulty getting used to work environment since she never had any experience. My brother, on the other hand, may not be as excellence in school, but he regularly participated in many different social organization or charity project. Hence, he easily found a job and quickly fit in since he had experience. What can be clearly seen from this example is that undertaking unfamiliar activities brings about significant influence.

Secondly, taking risks plays an important role in one’s success. Stepping out of the comfort zone enables one to become more proficient and can achieve the goal. Take my uncle and his friend for example. My uncle has stayed and worked at the same company since he graduated because he is afraid of taking risks and prefers a secure job. In contrast, his friend, who was not scared of making mistakes, wanted to become the owner of a company. He worked in numerous cooperations in order to get experience before he started his own business, and now he is a successful man since he was not afraid of taking chances. Therefore, taking risks allows people to be successful.

In conclusion, I find myself definitely agree with those who assert that successful people try new things and take risks. This is because it helps them to become more experience and enables them to achieve their goal.
