News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported?

  Since media-companies profit depends on the number of peoples watching particular TV programs or (a number of copies sailed if a company issues a newspaper) rating has become the main factor that influences on what news will be broadcasted. When preparing a news issue editors in order to increase the demand insert as much shocking reports as possible.
  We have become accustomed to hearing bad news. This means we are now less sensitive to grief and problems that are behind these reports.
  News editors should include more good news in TV programs and newspaper issues. There are several important reasons for doing this.
  Human psychics has become depressed by bad news. If a number of positive and negative reports in particular news issue are compared it becomes easy to conclude that bad news are dominating. It makes people think there is nothing good happening in the world.
  There are positive examples of “Good News Day” in Europe. “Good New Day” is a practice running in several European TV companies consisting in broadcasting only good news during one particular day in a year.  
  Adding more positive news do not misrepresent real situation in the world. If a news issue contains more positive news it doesn’t mean it gives a distorted overview of what has happened.
  In the conclusion, according to what was said it is extremely important to keep news issues balanced and not to emphasize only shocking and disappointing reports.
