Can you paraphase this passage for me?

All children, from the most dedicated honors student to the most belligerent discipline problem want to learn. The principal challenge in education is not at all a matter of convincing our cosumers that our product is worthwhile; rather, it is teaching subjects that they perceive as relevant and useful to them. Although we cannot always make all aspects of schooling relevant to students, we make their learning more relevant to their lives.

Top answer

All children want to learn. Schools do not have to convince children that learning is good; schools must teach useful subjects. All students will not find these subjects what they want to learn, but schools choose subjects that will be useful to the children's lives.

  • Or something to that effect.
