Can you "make settlements"?

Hi!

Please take look at the following sentence:

You must define a set of the client’s liabilities expressed in the base currency for which the client must, on the settlement date, make settlements in the quoted currency.

Is it okay to say "make settlements"?
Any other inaccuracies?

Thanks!
