Well, Brett Favre's good country boy reputation is now in question. Last week, the Minnesota Vikings were the talk of the NFL. First, they acquired star wide receiver, Randy Moss in a blockbuster trade with the New England Patriots, which gave them much needed help at the wide receiver position. Now, arguably the great quarterback in Minnesota Vikings' history, Brett Favre is under investigation for allegedly leaving and sending inappropriate voicemails, pictures, and MySpace messages to Jenn Sterger, a 26-year-old reporter, during his tenure as the New York Jets quarterback.

Early last week, Deadspin.com finally released the evidence that they had on Favre.
The voice left on Sterger's voicemail sounds suspiciously like Favre invited Sterger to visit his room. "I am going back to the hotel and just chill. Send me a text because I will be in the building for a couple of hours, and I wanted you to come over tonight. Just send me a text because I would love to see you tonight."

These voicemails are bad enough but there are also some disgusting pictures of man genitals that were sent to Sterger. When asked for a comment about this during last Thursday news conference Favre said. "I've got my hands full with the Jets and am trying to get some timing down with our guys, so that's all I'm going to discuss."

My take on this is that Favre is innocent until he is proven to be guilty. Even Deadspin.com acknowledged that fact that the person who was communicating with Sterger could not have actually been Favre, but rather someone trying very hard to appear to be him. Lastly, Sterger received these voicemails and pictures two years ago. The question that I have is why did she wait so long to notify someone about this and why did she wait until her issue of Playboy magazine was released? If she wanted justice, she would have been told someone about this. I think she wants her fifteen minutes of fame, money, and publicity.

Sterger was quoted saying, "If there is a way to expose this dude for the creepy douche he is WITHOUT me being attached to it in any way that is fine. I just want to make it clear I never met him, saw him, etc because I don't roll that way. That way meaning old or married, some big boobed hoes have morals and souls believe it or not."

The NFL is investigating this and has not stated whether Favre will be suspended or not.
