Twenty-nine when they had married, he had sown no few wild oats, yet Anna's true instinct made her trust him completely: Her guardian had disliked him, opposing the engagement, but in the end she had had her own way. And as things turned out her choice had been happy, for seldom had two people loved more than they did; they loved with an ardour undiminished by time; as they ripened, so their love ripened with them.

as i understand:
1. Twenty nine when they had married
means tht two man were married about 29 years, am i right? or they both were 29years when they were married??

then...
2. he had sown no few wild oats
no few means - a lot
but what is "sown wild oats"?

3. yet Anna's true instinct made her trust him completely
means - until Annas the 6 feeling made her trust him. or not?

4. Her guardian had disliked him, opposing the engagement, but in the end she had had her own way

who is guardian? he was opposing their marriage? but in the end she will marriend no matter what. as i understand. am i right?

5. And as things turned out her choice had been happy, for seldom had two people loved more than they did

then things turned out that she did right choice, becouse their love was such strong. i think there's everything is easy for understand

6. they loved with an ardour undiminished by time as they ripened, so their love ripened with them
what is "as they ripened" ?

The moment I began to read your passage, I thought it is quoted from an Avustralian short story. It is like a quotation from the beginning of a hard bush life. Am I wrong?                                              The first sentence doesn't look correct grammatically, anyway my thought is that they were twenty nine years old when they got married

"To sow one's wild oats" is a figure of speech for how a young man plays the field, has affairs with many women.

I don't know what you mean by "the 6 feeling". She trusted him even though she knew he had gone from woman to woman in the past.

If your parents are not the ones raising you, and a non-relative is, that is your guardian. You got the rest.

Olgaa I am so sorry for answering you so late. I connect to internet on my mobile phone. I am always having a problem with sending my posts.
3.Her husband didn't sow any seeds of a kind of a plant that is wild oath on which they must live. Maybe they sell it or they consume it themselves.
4.Something in the depth of Anna's heart told her that she could rely on her husband . She did so and made a right choice.
5.She seems to be an orphan. The guardian is the person who looksafter her and at the end she got married. You are right.
6.They loved each other so much that they got matured and a result of this, their love got matured, too.
