Topic: More and more animal species are becoming extinct by human activities in land and sea. What are the reasons and solutions?

Nowadays, the number of species extinctions are increasing because of human interactions. This essay will discuss several reasons and provide some possible ways to tackle this phenomenon.

It is believed that humans are the greatest threats to a lot of species over the world for many reasons. Since advances in harvest technologies are booming, it is also the time species were threatened or became extinct because of overharvesting. For example, humans use thousands of the world's species for food and medicine a day, especially fish, which means they cannot recover as fast as the pace of constant overfishing. Deforestation is also a serious hazard. There are dozens of forests and mountains that are destroyed for building homes or roads and exploiting natural resources, which are habitats of milion animals. As a consequence, wild animals’ habitats will become smaller or with some special species, their shelters will become lost.

Animals’ extinction is an alert for human behaviors, therefore several practical solutions should be applied immediately. Firstly, the governments should raise people's awareness about the decline of biodiversity. For example, biodiversity should be a primary subject in school to instruct people how to protect wild animals at athe very first ages. Secondly, the national leaders also have to apply new laws to protect vulnerable species as well as the natural world. In some countries, they provide standards to catch fish for food to make sure that this marine species can recover their population.

In conclusion, every daily human’s activities have big effects on millions of other species, which can lead to a lot of species extinction. Solutions should be applied as soon as possible to cope with this situation.
