Scientific research should be carried out and controlled by the governments rather than private companies. Do you agree or disagree?

At present, scientific research are carried out and controlled sometimes by government, sometimes by private companies. While there are some arguments in favor of scientific research should be done by private companies, I agree with the view that scientific research should be carried out and supervised by government.

In the case the private undertake scientific research, I think there are two significant dangers. The one is the corporations are easy to tempted to manipulate research in order to maximize profits such as gaining a competitive edge or breaking into a new market. There are numerous scandals from wrong conception in quality and objectivity we can see clearly.

On the top of that, leaving scientific research in hands of private companies may lead to unproven effects and inadequate trials which will cause profound social consequences. Using research to wrong purpose causes terrifying consequences for human and nature. From ethical perspective, it is illegal to med with nature and destroy ecosystems.

The government should allocate resources to high-quality resources in universities. The government-decision making is the best way to prioritize expenditure, make money and materials available to assist in the effort to carry out research with social benefits. In the other hand, scientific research is taken responsibility by universities can help students have opportunities that bring realistic trials making they handle with any problems well.

All in all, I strong agree with the view that government should provide funding for scientific research. However, some private companies which can safeguard results of scientific research can support government to undertake scientific project with appropriate profits.
