Question: These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

Answer

In today's world, more and more men choose to stay at home and take care of their children while the mother supports the family's finances. There are many reasons behind this but to me, I think this could be considered as a more positive change rather than a negative.

The main cause of this trend is because in this modern world, where the development of society enables not only men but women to choose how to live their lives as well. They no longer have fixed positions like women have to stay in the kitchen and men are supposed to go to work anymore. Because of that, they could decide who brings home the bacon and who is responsible for taking care of the children. Since society has begun to give equal chances to both men and women whether it comes to education or social status, everyone could decide the job they want to do, without being afraid of how people see them.

For me, the change in the roles could have many benefits. Firstly, it would break the prejudice that women could only stay at home and do the house chores because men do their job better in every area. Secondly, since the fathers are often seen as someone who is harsher on their child, which makes them become closer to their mothers so if they can bring up their children it can make them closer and help to tighten their relationship. Besides, men could teach their children lots of lessons that the mother could not like how to defend themselves.

In conclusion, there are various reasons why nowadays there are more stay-at-home dads and working mothers. But I think this trend is going to bring more benefits than drawbacks.
