Explain some of the ways in which humans are damaging the environment. What can governments do to address these problems? What can individual people do?

Environmental problems have always been a hot topic across the globe but it seems like nothing has changed much as people did not really take any action but instead keep on damaging our nature. However, I believe that it is not impossible to fix everything as long as both the government and residents take action immediately.

First of all, several factors are known for causing this harm. Plastic waste is one of the biggest factors leading to the majority of the damage. A large amount of plastic is thrown away every day and we all know plastic cannot be decomposed so what we are doing is leaving hundreds of thousands of pieces of plastic into nature which can destroy animals' habitats. Adding to this, the toxic emissions from our vehicles and factories cause great damage to the atmosphere. The emission is not only harmful to human health but research has shown that it has created a hole in the Ozone layer as well.

The governments need to take action as soon as possible to address these problems. The public authorities can install waste recycling factories in multiple places in the country to help recycle plastic waste. Moreover, individuals can also give a hand to protect the environment.
People just need to reduce household waste or learn to reuse their old stuff. Also, it would be better if everyone can get used to using public transports more often rather than using their vehicles, by doing that air pollution can be reduced.

In conclusion, humans are indeed the main reason why our environment is in danger with the way we use too much plastic and emit toxic fumes every day. But in my opinion, the government and citizens can solve these problems if we take the right measures.
