Space travel has been possible for some time and some people believe that space tourism could be developed in the future. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Thanks to the development of technology and science, there is a possibility that humans will be able to travel to outer space in the upcoming years. Although there are some visible benefits of space travel, I still believe that there are far more drawbacks from this type of tourism.

The main advantage of space tourism is that it provides a new kind of adventure to people. Customers may have a chance to experience the complex mysteries of the cosmos. By exploring space, people can broaden their horizons and make good memories. Furthermore, space travel could greatly contribute to the advancement of space science. If space tourism becomes a thing in the future, it will give scientists more chances to study and do more research about the planets. Besides, governments or companies may invest a great amount of money and resources to help these projects.

Despite all those benefits, I believe that space travel contains various downsides. First of all, environmental pollution can happen due to a huge number of launching for space tourism. Space shuttles release great quantities of exhaust fumes into the surroundings, and the ozone layer could be dramatically affected, which may lead to global warming. Second, this type of travel will cost an enormous amount of money that could be spent on other purposes. For example, that amount of money can be invested in the medical field, education, or charity. Finally, space travel is likely to be very dangerous. Boarding a spacecraft and traveling through the universe contains a variety of potential risks. There is no guarantee that unexpected accidents or emergency situations will not happen.

In conclusion, while I agree that there are numerous advantages of space tourism, I still think that the disadvantages outweigh them all.
