It is a natural process for animal species to become extinct (e.g. Dinosaur, dodos) There is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening. Do you agree or disagree?
Answer
Many people believe that animal protection is no longer necessary owing to the extinction of animals caused by natural selection. I disagree with this notion and will explain the reasons in this essay.
Admittedly, the disappearance of animals is attributed to a gradual process in nature, which is proved by many biological researchers. Nonetheless, it is not the primary reason. In fact, the main culprit is the increase in activities of mankind, such as poaching, establishing "slash and burn" agriculture, and industrialization, which, therefore, abolish the living places for animal species and also account for a lot of killed species. To illustrate the point, there was a documentary film about Whales in Japan, which depicted the tremendous violence of the Japanese when they poached whales excessively to fulfill their markets. Hence, humans must be accountable for the exotic species and need to find ways to prevent them from being extinct.
Another reason worth mentioning is the advantages of animals in our daily lives. Majorly, animals are considered as the sources of food supplies. According to the report about meats, pork is the most popular meat globally. Those are also the materials for many fashion items, including bags, coats, etc made mainly by animal feathers and skins. In addition, animals play an important role in national cultures as the regional embodiment in many countries. The cow is the best example for demonstrating this point. This animal represents happiness and wealth in India, which usually exists in many annual festivals. Hence, preventing animals is preventing a human life. Those are enough to incentivize people to focus on protecting animals before it is too late.
In conclusion, human activities have a stronger effect on the quantities of animals than the natural process. I believe that the responsibilities of animal prevention should be taken and more concentrated to balance the natural habitat.
