The bar chart compares the change of global sales of games software, CDs and DVD or video throughout a 4-year period.
It can clear that there was an upward trend in all 3 groups at the end of the period.
In 2000, the revenue for games software was around 13 billion dollars, this number increase steadily to 15 billion and 18 billion in 2001 and 2002 respectively. And in 2003 the sale was nearly 20 billion dollars. The sale for DVE or video experienced a similar trend. It starts with nearly 20 billion dollars and rose to approximately 22 billion in 2001. From that the figure went up to more than 25 billion and reached its peak of about 30 billion dollars at the end of the period.
In contrast, the number for CDs witnessed a decrease throughout the years. In the beggining the revenue for CDs was the highest among 3 groupsat around 35 billion. But this figure soon dropped to aobut 33 billion and 31 billion in 2001 and 2002 respectively and ended with around 30 billion dollars at the end of the period.
