Hi, I'm writing an essay about poverty. Can you please tell what you think about the first paragraph?

"Everyday we are shown so many moving scenes of extreme poverty, which sometimes are able to move us to tears, but once we change channel or we swipe up the image, we are no longer interested in what we have just seen. Our minds are so filled with any kind of minor information by media and social media, that we forget too easily what is really happening around us. Since poverty has settled roots in our society so deeply, we are all inclined to consider it as matters of fact and we are unconsciously becoming used to it.
Indifference is the most dangerous and unresponsive reaction we might experience towards such an issue. We can no longer turn our back to a social problem that is becoming more and more urgent and which started long ago to surround us; in fact even who live in a developed country cannot but witness everyday cases of destitution.
It is time for us to become aware of the inequalities our society is based on and and if our privilege are really more important than many people’s lives."
