Can you help me to fix this?

Hi. I actually had gone to the hotel where you stayed at when you were in New York( where you were staying at?) But I couldn't see you because the attendant said that you had left the city. If I went there 3 days ago, I could see you (I could have seen you?) But I didn't know where you were staying at, then. I hope you'll come to New York again and we'll meet.
