I think small age difference is better. Actually, whatever the age difference is there will always be fights between siblings but with this they will learn how to share. Kids might like the idea or having a brother or sister but when this wish becomes a reality there might be jeolousy.
There are big advantages of having small age difference. The most important one is they can grow old together. They can spend their most beautiful childhood memories together.
