I'm very beginner to study English
Wish you help me to fix my sentences.
I met A today. We had a small talk in the cafe near East gate of college. He was preparing upcoming mid-term exams in three weeks. He is studying management. I finished my studying and majored in Sociology. I was reading a book called 'Against Hate' written by Carolin Emcke. It isn't easy book. but, If you have liberal arts knowledge, you can understand what author says at least. Since I was so into reading that book, I told him the summaries. He said to me, however, "It was so hard. I don't know even what the ???(Korean word) mean in it." That is a little bit shocked to me.
He said the word which was considered as difficult one wasn't difficult word. I know he is busy to study his major and prepare accountant exams. And, I reminded of statics which showed how many Koreans don't read a book. According to the statics, 40% of Koreans don't read a book in a year. Every Korean wants to enhance foreign language skills, but I think, they're not interested in improving Koreans.
In my opinion, The best way to enhance language skills is to study mother tongue hard. Language is just a tool showing an image in your brain. The image would turn into word that is from your mother tongue. That's why you have to focus on your mother tongue before studying other language hard. Besides, If you focus on studying mother tongue, you can know exactly what your idea and feel is. Who knows? Some people would conclude that I don't wanna English anymore !
So How about studying your mother tongue like who studies language as a foreigner ?
