Have you ever done something that seemed normal to you, but that after thinking about it surprised you of the way you have acted? This has happened to me on several occasions, but there is one occasion in particular that I recall. Throughout my life, I have lived most of my life in my home county Egypt. Once my family to move to the US, I thought that I would not like the US, because it is 180 percent different culture then Egypt. After moving to the US I changed my mind, which surprised me that I changed my mind so quickly. This situation forced me to look back at the sittings of the story before moving, after moving to the US, and have what is in common between the two countries. On February the third 2006, my family has decided that it would be the best for me and my sister to learn a better education in the US and move there on the twenty-second. When I heard that we are moving, first thing came to my head. Was what am I have to learn or know in order to fit in the schools in the US? I didn't know anyone who has lived in the states, but I know my English teacher back at the school that I was going to. Next day I went to the school first thing on my list was to go to my English teacher, she explained that if i liked to try out new and different types of culture then Egyptian culture the US was the place to visit and live in. I was a person that hates changing different types of stuff in my live. After couple of rough weeks of goodbyes, the twenty-second day came. Arriving at the airport at 2 am in the morning, there was not that much to see once we got there. The next morning my dad, who lived in the US for 6 years, took us to NOA Wood Grill& Sushi Bar. NOA Wood Grill& Sushi Bar is a place that serves sushi and mostly seafood. In Egypt we most of the food we ate was mostly meat, chicken and a lot of vegetables, so seafood was not common in Egypt as in the States. One also big difference, the town where I grow up we used our hand a lot compared to the people in the states. After couple weeks living in the states I started to loving the US more and more, which was a very weird thing that I thought it will never happen. I grow up in a different country, lived different culture, knew different people, and spoke different language. A lot of people would think that I would have hard time understanding people and fitting in a place about any where in the world. But as time passed I prove people and my self wrong about the understanding of the world. About my first year I could talk to understand a person is if I was born in the US. So year after year I was talking very well, understanding even better then before, and was well used to the culture. As you can see me before moving, after moving, and comparing the two made and big difference in my life today. This change would probably never happen if I did't move to another country. Also coming to the US provided me great way to be educated in one of the best schools in the world and able to go to top University's. This was an important lesson that I have learner in life. Remember next time you try out new things, don't come to conclusion until you have tried and then give your conclusion
