Can you help me correct these sentences? Thank you!

Some snacks have been bleached in order to make them look more pretty. I know a guy who sells nuts, but the nuts look dark so he used some chemicals to bleach them. In this way, he gained double profit without being put into jail. Unfortunately, consumer has no idea what it’s and are willing to buy the bleached one.

look dark...uses some chemicals or looked dark...used chemicals (keep the tenses the same)

This doesn't work. It's is a shortened form of it is, but you can't use it at the end of a clause like that.
