Can you help me correct these sentences? Thank you!

My team member Tom always cheated other team members that he was ill and hoped others help him complete his work. Once we had to finish a computer program, the schedule was pretty tight. Tom was lazy and reluctant to do his work. So he asked me again to program his part of work. I couldn't bear that and refused. In the end, my boss knew it and sacked him immediately. So if children form a habit expecting others to helm them, they probably would be sacked, because it's not good teamwork to expect others to do your work.
