It was also a terrible memory for me, because I was required to take many courses and prepared for the College Entrance Examination. I had to spend 10 hours studying every day. Jiaying is my university, which is 40 million square meters. It is more enjoyable for me, because I can choose the courses I like. Even if students skip many classes, they won’t be punished. Let's look at parts of your passage carefully:

Jiaying is my university
Hang on! How can you be attending a high school and a university at the same time? Problem with the tenses, perhaps?

...with a space of 2 million square meters: which covers 2 million square meters
However, in English, with larger areas, we usually talk about acres, and give a handy approximation. 2 million square meters is 494 acres, so we would probably write
...which covers nearly 500 acres.

Why did I change the tense?

many courses and prepared for the College Entrance Examination.: perhaps 'too many courses' - that would be too much for a person and leave bad memories. The rest of this sentence might be:
...too many courses in order to prepare for the College Entrance Examination.
or
...too many courses in preparation for the College...

I had to spend 10 hours studying every day.
Jiaying is my university: this is the same phrasing as Sanzhong (verb) my high school; so a better way of saying this would be:
I now attend Jiaying University,

which is 40 million square meters.: this is actually 9884 acres, so we would express that as:
...which covers a little under 10,000 acres.

It is more enjoyable for me: I find it more enjoyable
because I can choose the courses I like.
Even if students skip many a lot of classes,

they won’t be punished.: You mean, they won't get the cane?

We don't speak of 'punishment' of a student at the tertiary level, but rather 'they won't be penalised' (which means the same thing, but in a more adult way!)

There is more freedom.: This is a short, abrupt sentence. What about something like:
University life allows the student much more freedom.

Simple Past, "Sanzhong was..." because you have graduated and left high school.
When talking about the university, you say, "It is more enjoyable..." and "I can choose...", in Present Tense, which indicates you are still attending university. If so, then "Jiaying is my university" is correct.
If not, and you no longer attend university, then some other verbs would also need to the changed to Past Tense.
