It is true that some long term job-seekers is more successful than job-changers. In my opinion, I partly agree with this idea.
On the one hand, people who often switch from one job to other have some benefits. Firstly, they learn more essential skills in different fields. By trying at various workplace , job-changers can put knowledge gained from previous working environment into practice in their new job. Secondly, they have opportunity to find what suits them best. For example, my sister who studied Academy of Finance gave up many jobs such as broker, accountant,.... to become lecture which was her passion.
On the other hand, there are some reasons why people keep doing one job for a long time. One reason is that they could have promotion opportunities and receive high salary. For instance, the experience of someone decided their chance of moving up the career ladder. An increase in salary also is the motivation for people who have steady job. Furthermore, the support from long-term colleagues help them to acquire more skills and achieve their goals.
For the reason mentioned above, I believe that the time of person’s working isn’t decided his/her successful career.
