3.In many societies in the world, the population is ageing rapidly and this is leading to an unsustainable increase in the cost of public healthcare.
A nation’s population should pay for their healthcare provision in the future.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, population to get older quicker. Therefore, it creates a bigger burden on public healthcare. Some people assume that healthcare supplement should be paid by nation’s population. In my opinion, I partly agree with this idea.
On one hand, nation’s population paying their own fee of healthcare system take some advantages. Firstly when citizens pay for healthcare system, they have specific healthcare condition. For example, they can have better condition for their treatment and a good doctor cures for them as they choose. Secondly, this change can reduce financial burden for government. The government do not cover every cost for their population in healthcare anymore.Thirdly, healthcare system will have more motivation when it is paid by citizen, it has more capital to develop better in the future.
On the other hand, if population must have responsibility totally for their healthcare, it creates some drawbacks. This change can make someone living in poverty can not access to healthcare system. The poor do not have enough food to eat let alone money for healthcare and if this change is implemented the poor will have more difficulties to cope with. Moreover, this change can enlarge the gap between the rich and the poor in society. For example, the child living in rich family is cared by the best healthcare condition, while another poor child can not access to healthcare system.
Weighting up both sides, in my opinion, nation’s population should take responsibility for a part of fee of healthcare and the government supports for a part of healthcare charge. This solution ensures that everyone can access to healthcare system and it also creates motivation for healthcare system develop.
To sum up, both government and citizens should join hand in pay fee for healthcare to create a better society.
