Can you help me check this paragraph

When children reach a certain age or maybe discover some truth, All of them will be mature and get out of their carefree state to find out more about the outside world. From my perspective, children can totally understand death as the ten-year-old protagonist - Myop in the story “The Flowers” by Alice Walker. Firstly, Myop showed her unafraid feelings when she stepped on the eyes of a dead worker “she stepped smack into his eyes.... and she reached down quickly, unafraid… some threads of blue denim from his overalls.” (Walker 2). Although she was ten- the age of youngness, innocence and playing, she had no panic or fear. Because she is black and she clearly knows the racism that the white people treat her race as slaves. Myop got used to seeing many dead black workers. Secondly, Myop not only does not feel unafraid of death but also she feels free herself that is the sign of coming of age. “she reached down quickly, unafraid, to free herself” That is when she is aware of anything else in her life not only her song. Moreover, it seems to free her from the innocence and childlike, all her beautiful warm ten years of life and great songs were just her childhood memory. Last but not least, Myop laid down a wild pink rose in which she stepped on the dead men’s head. The wild pink rose symbolizes the beauty of innocence, her action means that she got out of her childhood and she was ready to find out the rest of life. In conclusion, “And the summer was over” (Walker 2) at the end of the story means the most unlimited, innocent and happiest season of children, as well as Myop, was ended. She really understood death or even everything else, Myop put away her innocence and she also could not return her innocent life.
