Can you help me check my writing task 1 ielts?4.1

1.The table below shows the percentage use of four different fuel types to generate electricity in five Asian countries in 2005.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Fuel type used to generate electricity (%)


The table shows different fuel types to create electricity in five countries in 2005. It is noticeable that each country concentrates on different types of fuel to generate electricity.

In Malaysia, coal and lignite are used as the main source to create electricity(61%). Nuclear and other types of fuel are also used in electricity process. In similar situation, Singapore uses coal and lignite as the main material to generate electricity. In Thailand, the main type of fuel they use are petroleum product (36%), hydro and wind (19%) and other types (42%). An interesting point is that Thailand does not use nuclear in producing electricity.

In South Korea, hydro and wind account for the largest proportion(48%), the second highest type of fuel are nuclear. In different situation, Japan concentrates on using nuclear(49%) and other types take a large proportion(39%).

Generally, to generate electricity, each country uses various types of fuel with different proportion for each type.
