30/05/2015: Many people believe that international tourism is a bad thing for their country. What are the reasons? Solutions to change negative attitudes.
In recent years, we have seen a growing tendency for foreign visitors to travel destinations all over around the world. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, societies can taken steps to mitigate these potential problems.
To begin with, there is ample convincing evidence that the advent of foreign visitors is often accompanied by an increased level of contamination. Many tourists discharge polutants into the surroundings irresponsibly, which contributes to air, water and soil population. In addition, our burning of fossil fuels which is provide power with demand’s visitors transportations such as plane, car, bus is increasing. This should be responsible for leaving carbon footprint excessively into air, which causes the greenhouse effect and marking the Earth hotter, endangering all life on the planet.
Despite the disadvantages given above, I believe that some effective solutions can be taken into consideration by governments to improve the situation. First, since governments can enact laws, they can force all factories and heavy industries to cut the amount of carbon consumption. In fact, by raising carbon tax, business are encouraged to use renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind, to save production costs, which can reduce carbon emission into air in the long run. Second, in order to encourage people to put waste into the right place or to use public transport if possible. For example, the government should be continue organized campaigns to raise the awareness of tourists when they pay visit to a new land.
In conclusion, negative feelings about global tourism still are common in society. However, this can be resolved by taking the above suggestions.
