Can you help correct these sentences? Thank you!

Once, my friend Michael told me that he quit the job. I was surprised, because he got a high salary in his former company. The reason he wanted to resign was because he couldn’t learn anything new in the company and the job was quite boring. And there was no training at all. In the end, most of employees in his company resigned for the same reason.

Is "good salary" more appropriate than "high salary"?

Why do you think I changed it?

I don't know. Normally, I prefer to say "high salary" and barely say "good salary."

Thank you, but you used "good salary", so I thought "good salary" is a better choice rather than "high salary." I am confused.
