Can you guess who it is VS Can you guess who is it

Hi Emotion: smile

Recently I noticed that many of my Filipino friends use "can you guess who is it?" where as i would say "who it is".

Could comeone please tell me which is correct and how I can explain it?

Hi! Anonymous where as I would say "who it is". Then you would be right.

  • Hi!
  • Anonymous where as I would say "who it is".

  • In the sentence you gave, who it is is a noun clause , not a question, so the verb comes after the subject, but as a question, the verb would come before: Who is it?
