Buying things on the Internet, such as books, air tickets and groceries, is becoming more and more popular.

Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages?

In the modern world, people tend to prefer shopping online to spending time walking around in the shopping mall. Therefore, online shopping becomes a growing trend. This presents both pros and cons. However, in my point of view, its benefits are much more significant than drawbacks.

On the one hand, online shopping brings to the customers some disadvantages. Initially, since people are unable to touch or see the products in reality, it is difficult to examine the quality of these products. As a result, they might purchase the items with poor quality and abandon those because of dissatisfaction. Moreover, the buyers will face to a lot of risk if they decide to purchase online. For example, when customer agrees with bank transfer before receiving the order but the seller cuts off contact and the order is not sent. In that case, the buyer has been deceived and it might be impossible to take his money back. Moreover, shipment delays, annoying advertises or misleading online marketing are one of disadvantages of online shopping.

On the other hand, I am of the opinion that online shopping has a lot of benefits. Firstly, consumers can browse the product and compare the prices between several online shops which have the same items. In this way, people can make a wise decision to buy what they like after taking prices, sizes and models of the products into consideration. To speak from my experience, online shopping helps me to save a lot of money because of promotions from online shops. Secondly, buying things on the Internet helps people s great deal of time. That is to say, since people are often caught up with work and study, online shopping is a wise choice which does not require them to go out. With just a click, the items they need will be delivered as soon as possible.

In conclusion, although online shopping has both benefits and drawbacks, it can not be denied that its advantages are much more impressive than its inconvenience.
