Can you fix my singular plural problems?

I always face difficulties using singular and plural nouns. Some example are given below.

Your fan or your fans? You should turn of fan or fans?
Your furnace or your furnaces? Buy new furnace or furnaces?
Turn off the fans or fan?

Please explain.
