Can you describe this action?

I'm at a market ,there is a shelf with produtcs , I want to put a product in my cart to go to the cashier,so I: take it from the shelf/take it off the shelf/take it out of the self/remove from the shelf .Important: besides saying which of my options are right, if you think that there is others ways to describe this action that is better,I mean,a way that would be more natural to a native to say, I also would like you to use it
