Can you correct these sentences?

1. Learning to sail is challenging and a thrill.

2. Marie is tall, slender, and a girl of great beauty.

3. Treatment consists of keeping the skin dry, don't go in the sun, and you should apply talcum several times a day.

4. I was in town today. I did some shopping. (correct this one by beginning with a dependent conjunction.)

I dont understand these. Could you please help me.

Generally, you want to put the sentences into a parallel form. See # 3 for the clearest example. However, both #2 and #4 consist of two independent statements (one of which must be subordinated to the other).
