Can you correct a passage for book?

She was an orphan going from house to house. she says in a passage:

For the first time in my life I feel like I am a part of a host family since my parents passed...............Now that I am pregnant, naming my daughter after my mom would remind me way too much of her. I wouldn't want my baby to be a constant reminder of my mom.

Is there anything you would correct?

Hi The row of dots seem to be for the word "away"... " If this is direct speech, the speaker may have just faltered and stopped before completing the sentence. (In that case, I'd say it shouldn't be corrected) Apart from that minor note, it looks fine to me Dave

Hi

The row of dots seem to be for the word "away"...

"For the first time in my life I feel like I am a part of a host family since my parents passed away."

If this is direct speech, the speaker may have just faltered and stopped before completing the sentence. (In that case, I'd say it shouldn't be corrected)

Apart from that minor note, it looks fine to me
