The pie chart depicts the consumption of water used in industrial, agricultural, and domestic use in six areas of the world.

According to the chart, the amount of water used for agricultural purposes outnumbered the other in four of six countries which are South America, Africa Central Asia, and South East Asia. Whereas domestic use makes up the biggest percentage of total water consumption in both North America and Europe.

On the one hand, in North America and Europe, about half of water consumption is for industrial purposes, taking up 48% and 53% respectively. The water used for agriculture in both countries records the highest figure with 39% and 32%, while the percentage of water is spent on domestic use no more than 15 percent each. In contrast, agricultural water use in South America makes up nearly three-fourths of the total consumed water, and industrial and domestic water consumption contributes less than 20%.

On the other hand, in regard to water consumption in the agricultural sector, Central Asia is the leading consumer at 88%, followed by Africa with 84%. Meanwhile, the figure of water used for the Domestic and Industrial areas of Africa and Central Asia is significantly low at no more than 9% and 7% respectively. Similarly, in South East Asia, water consumption makes up 81% for agricultural, at 12% for industrial,
and 7% for domestic use.
