Topic: The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar graph illustrates the percentage of British people who spent money on charity by age group in 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it can clearly be seen that both age band rates of 1990 and 2010 decreased by over 65.
Looking at the chart in more detail, it is evident that in 1990, the age 18-25 supported money for charity by about 17 percent. The money for charity in the age group continued to rise to over 40 percent by 36-50 which was the highest rate on the chart. This proportion then fell approximately to 32 percent by 65 plus.
Turning to charity in 2010, it can be seen that the money rate of British people for charity by 18-25 is the lowest, just nearly under a half compared to 1990. It is significantly increased to around 24 percent by the 26-35 age group then still up to around 39 percent by 65 years old. From over 65, the percentage of elderly people who spent lower money on charity at 35 percent.
