Can you check my sentence ?

Here is my sentence.

When you learn in a large class, it's hard to keep up with teacher's word because there are lots of distractions.
I think it's easier for me to learn in a small class because I can have more concentration.

What I want for this :

1. Is my sentence grammatically correct ( perhaps it looks inappropriate but it's still correct )?

2. Can I shorten my sentence to be a tight one ? ( please give an example )

---This is nothing much. I just want to know that, first, I can create a grammatical sentence.
Second, I want an appropriate form to use in real situation, so I ask you to revise it.---

Thank you.

I think it's easier for me to learn in a small class because I can have more concentration. It's grammatically correct except for the absence of "the", but not completely idiomatic in spots. When you learn in a large class, it's hard to keep up with the teacher's word s because there are lots of distractions.

Your original text is perfectly understandable and would be of native English speaker quality but for two things, the phrases "to keep up with teacher's word" and "I can have more concentration." I know what you mean by these but this is not how native English speakers talk.

One possible revision is: "When you learn in a large class, it's hard to keep up with what the teacher is sayin
