The table compares the proportion of the population riding bicycles in one town in 2011, divided by age group.

Overall, the percentage of females cycling exceeded that of males for all ages. On the other hand, the figures for those who aged from 18 to 59 were lower than other groups for both genders.

In terms of the age group 9-10, 51.3% of the females and 50.3% of the males rode bikes. This proportion remained high for women in the age group 10-17, at about 42.2%, while only 24.6% of the men in the same age group cycled.

The figures for the age group 18-39 were rather low, at 17.1% for women and 9.7% for men, respectively. Similarly, only 12.3% of the women and 8.0% of the men in the age group 40-59 rode bicycles.
