Furthermore, during the period, all the years witnessed an increase in the degree of divorce in Finland, as opposed to the divorce rate in Sweden.
As can be seen from the bar chart, all four years from 2011 to 2014 that marked the divorce rate in Sweden higher than that in Finland. Apart from 2014, all other years experienced a huge disparity between two countries with the level of divorce in Sweden is most equal in Finland, approximately 45%. 2012 was the year that the divorce rate in Sweden was the most, at 50%, whereas that in Finland was the least, at roughly 30%. 2011 and 2013 were two years with relatively similar proportions between Sweden and Finland, with nearly 45% and 40% respectively.
Only in 2015, the rate of couples whose declared divorce in Sweden was lower than that in Finland, at 41% and 305 respectively.
