Can you add an adverb between a pronoun and tense?

For instance:
"I already had served...."
or
"I had already"
What I'm asking is; are there any exceptions that the adverb is allowed in between?

Another example:
"It probably is a great quote."
Is this form acceptable? Or It always has to be. "It is probably a great quote."

Thanks

"or"I had already" You can say the sentence either way, but the second one has the usual word order. I had already served ... Bill has already seen that movie.

  • "or"I had already" You can say the sentence either way, but the second one has the usual word order.
  • I had already served ...
  • Bill has already seen that movie.
  • With a simple tense you would put 'already' before the verb.
  • I already know what you're going to say.
