Is it correct to use 'quash'?
The President's economic policies are quashing the progress of the country?
Thank you!

Definitely, impeding, slowing and negatively impacting are better words. Actually, I was learning the way both words can be used so I asked.

'quash' doesn't sound natural here.
It is also a stronger word, similar to 'crush'.
