Can we use singular verb with plurals, like in this sutuation?

Sentence: It's more biased than them because it has peace haters, canards spreading people like X, Y, Z as editors.

Note: Take X, Y, Z as the names of somebody.

My question: Can we use singular verb like "has" in the sentence because the following matter is plural? Besides, is it necessary to pluralize the word "editor" in the sentence? Please reply. Would be most oblige. Emotion: smile
