Can we use "since" with the perfect tense?

Have you seen any movie stars since you've been living here?

Can it be breaking a grammar rule if I use "since" with the perfect tense like above?

It is OK here. Although since usually indicates a past point in time, it can also indicate an activity which started in the past and is continuing to the present. I have suffered no more insomnia since I have been taking a glass of sherry before bed.

Dear Marius and Mister Mic,

Do you think there's a slightest chance that the "since" can be intended as the same meaning as "because"? Or is it inevitably "the time from which"?

0 Some of the hits are definitely based on that. 0-
