can u help me by giving critical analysis 4 the poem "My Last Duchess"??
hi there,,
can any1 help me by giving a critical analysis 4 the poem "My Last Duchess" by Robert Browning.
i wanna applay the Structuralism's princeples on it ..
one of theses princeples is that:
* Mythemes like phonemes, they find meaning in and through their relationships often involve oppositions.
4 example, in "King Lear", King Lear overestimates the value & support of children when he trusts, Regan & Goneril, his two oldest daughters, to take care of him in his old age. He also underestimates the value & support of children when he banishes his youngest & most-loved daughter, Cordelia.
BUTI couldn't apply it on "My Last Duchess"??
* Roland Barthes, structuralist, declares that all language is based upon differences "binary opposition".
How can we apply the idea of "binary opposition" on My Last Duchess??
PLZ, if any1 have any idea about that PLZ help me, & if u have another applied principles that related to "Structuralism" on "My Last Duchess"
