Can this be the subject?

In the example:

What sexist has been in the past, pretending that Christmas was basically conjured up by Father Christmas and his crack team of elves.

Can we use ‘what sexist’ as the subject of the sentence?

Perhaps you mean "sexism" however, I am unclear on the intended meaning of your example so I cannot be sure. It does not read properly. "

You don't have a sentence here.

I know the context, because I answered a previous question about this. It was from a radio interview. Remember, eipjoo, that when people are speaking, their grammar and sentence structure are often not as perfect as they would be in writing. It should be "What is sexist is (or "has been") (the way things were) in the past...."

Now, I know what's the meaning of the sentence. Now 'What is sexist' can be the subject, and for me it couldn't have been easy to differentiate their sounds between 'what's sexist' and 'what sexist.' Thank you very much, and I'm going to try the audio again today.

Let me add some more about this: As a matter of fact, you've already put your transcription, 'What's exist.'

eipjoo'What's exist.'
That's "sexist," not "exist."

I think what is sexist is not this ad, the Morrison and Asda ads (??) showing the women doing this vast amount of work. I think what's sexist has been in the past pretending that Christmas was basically conjured up by Father Christmas and his cr

Yes, that's my typo. I'm so sorry. And thank you very much for your additional explanation.

Yes, this one gives me how a stereo type of thinking leads to a biased opinion. My mother never thought she was exploited, and never will do. The Greatness melts all the fragments of ideas.
