Can this be said this way?

Sentence: He is a serial "wager loser".

Question: Does the sentence, and particularly my coinage "wager loser", sound correct?

Top answer

It is certainly understandable, but it sounds awkward. There must be a better synonym, perhaps He is an habitual loser.

Yes, I knew about "habitual loser" construction, but it has something to do with wager

Hi,

I'd say it another way.

eg He is a habitual gambler who always loses.
