Hi. I'm not an english user, and I started learning english recently. So please excuse me for my poor english.
Here is my question:
1. They left the house deserted.
2. They left the house unnoticed.
My english teacher showed me these two sentences. He said that the structure of the first one is S + V + O + O.C., and of the second one is S + V + O + S.C.
I've never seen S+V+O+S.C structure before, so I'm very confused now.
Is my teacher's explanation about S.C. right? if not, how can this sentence be analyzed?
anonymous 1. They left the house deserted. Deserted describes the state of the house.

anonymous1. They left the house deserted.
Deserted describes the state of the house.
anonymous2. They left the house unnoticed.
Unnoticed is adverbial. It describes the manner in which they departed.
Thank for your reply!
But isn't "unnoticed" adjective? Can adjective be adverbial?

Some people do analyze those that way. I'm not really surprised.
It's probably just as well they use some simple terminology because here's one of the alternatives:
1. They left the house deserted.
'deserted' is an object
