Can something be 'more prettier'?

What the title reads basically. Can something be 'more prettier'? Or is that grammatically incorrect?

EG.
Abe: The tree looks pretty.
Bob: To make it prettier add a star.
Carl: To make it 'more prettier' add tinsel.

Is Carl grammatically correct? Or should he have used 'prettier' again?

Top answer

No, that wouldn't be correct. What you could say is 'even prettier', for example: Carl: And to make it even prettier (than that), add tinsel.

No, but people sometimes speak like Carl, purposely making obvious grammatical mistakes to be funny.
