At approximately 8:40 pm last night, a robbery occurred at Tony's Restaurant. Police have some leads, and the investigation is continuing.
The owner, Tony Hardy, recalls preparing his payroll late last night, when a man wearing a stocking mask entered his restaurant. Hardy is not sure how the robber got in but believes that the crook used the back door to the kitchen to get in.
After entering the restaurant, the robber forced Hardy to open the safe and give all three thousand dollars to him. After receiving the money, Hardy was locked in a storage closet and told to wait there for 15 minutes.
Hardy waited the 15 minutes and then called the cops. He describes the robber as a 24-year-old stocky white man, about 5'6" with a round face and broad shoulders.
