00It is believed that environment affects the development of children’s personalities as they grow. I agree with this statement because I have noticed even myself having personality changes when I am in a different environment, with different types of people. An environment can change a person in the way that they can become how people around them are acting, for example if someone was boring, dull, and had a grim face on this would probably be because the people around them were boring, dull, and had grim faces on. Also environment meaning the weather can also affect your personality for instance, if it was sunny outside the light would probably make you feel more energetic and happy , while on the other hand if you were walking about in cold, foggy weather it would more likely make you feel tired and gloomy. 02br

00Personally, I’ve changed in many ways from moving to different countries. When I lived in Belgium I felt more social and had a lot of friends because people wouldn’t go into cliques and isolate each other. Everyone could be friends with anybody they wanted. This made me a more outgoing person, I think. When I moved to the U.S. I found myself surrounded by many cliques. This made my best friend count go from almost 100 to about I guess, 10. This has made it harder for me to meet new people and has made my personality go from outgoing and very outspoken to outgoing yet shy. Personality by environmental changes happens a lot in the book “Ender’s Game” 02br

00Ender is born in a time where population restriction laws are in effect. Usually a family would be restricted to only 2 children but because the government thought the two children didn’t meet the requirements to fight against the buggers, they were permitted to having a third, Ender. Since having a third is very uncommon in this society, Ender was picked-on by many children around him. He was a person who they thought was not worthy of living. This made Ender very unsocial. 02br

00 Ender first starts out as an innocent 6 year old, genius. He is a kind of person that wouldn’t harm anyone. Then he is surrounded by a pack of students led by the bully, Stilson. Ender becomes like the bullies and ends up becoming a killer. This also shows his side of his brother, Peter, the violent child of the family. Since living with him he’s obtained some of his traits of being I guess you would say unscrupulous. Peter also helps him learn how to keep his emotions within himself. It has affected his personality in the way that he can hide his emotions from people. 02br

00When Ender goes to Battle school, Graff isolates him by turning the others against him, saying that he’s the best and everyone should learn from him makes the children think different of him. Ender obtains a more independent mind because of this. It teaches him how to take care of himself and not be weakened by friends, in a way that he can’t go cry on someone’s shoulder, become more vigorous. This helps Ender have a more mature and sophisticated personality. 02br

00As Ender meets new people and goes to new places his personality changes. This is common for everyone. 0-
